When Pongle S is a good fit

  • Hydroponic and protected horticulture facilities with nutrient tanks or raw water reservoirs
  • Sites that need to minimize changes to existing irrigation piping and nutrient supply equipment
  • Storage tanks of 2–10 m³ with water depth of 60 cm or more and an opening of 40 cm diameter or more

When another option is needed

  • For storage tanks shallower than 60 cm or with narrow openings, the externally installed surface-pump type (Pongle L)
  • For processes that supply water directly without a storage tank, consider an HQN suited to the supply conditions
  • For storage tanks under 2 m³ or over 10 m³, contact us for a separate capacity review

Submerged circulation independent of existing irrigation

The submersible pump and oxygen dissolving unit are installed in the storage tank, dissolving oxygen without separate circulation piping.

Works with existing irrigation

The oxygen dissolving system is installed inside the storage tank while keeping the existing irrigation pump and nutrient supply unit.

Submerged circulation structure

Circulation inside the tank by a submersible pump means no separate external circulation piping is needed for oxygen dissolution.

Oxygen generator included

An oxygen generator is included in the standard scope of supply, so it runs without separate oxygen cylinders.

Oxygen supply performance and agricultural validation results

Results of cultivation tests and on-farm trials using early oxygen supply technology are presented separately from dissolved oxygen measurements of Pongle S.

Dissolved oxygen comparison
Category Dissolved oxygen Notes
Ordinary groundwater 7–8 mg/L Raw water
Cultivation test conditions 15–20 mg/L Pepper and fruit-vegetable tests
Pongle S, 1 hour of operation About 30 mg/L
(+20–25 mg/L over raw water)
Pongle-010 · 10 m³ tank · In-house test · Measured

In an in-house test of Pongle-010 in a 10 m³ tank, dissolved oxygen of about 30 mg/L was measured after 1 hour of operation. Actual concentration reached and operating time vary with initial water quality, water temperature and oxygen consumption.

  1. Oxygen supply

Oxygen from the oxygen generator, installed outside the reservoir, is supplied to the submerged oxygen dissolving unit.

  2. Circulation and dissolution in the reservoir

The submersible pump circulates the stored water, and the oxygen dissolving unit promotes gas–liquid mixing. Standard operating pressure is 1.0–1.5 bar.

  3. Linked to irrigation

The oxygenated water is delivered to the growing area through the existing irrigation pump and nutrient supply equipment.

Pongle S FAQ

Answers to key technical and adoption questions when considering Pongle S.

How do I choose between the submersible and surface-pump types?

If the reservoir meets the depth and opening requirements, the submersible type can be used.

The submersible type circulates water inside the storage tank, minimizing changes to existing irrigation piping. For shallow tanks or tanks with narrow openings, consider the surface-pump type.

Do I need to provide oxygen separately?

An oxygen generator is supplied with the unit.

No separate oxygen cylinders are needed in the standard configuration. Space for the oxygen generator (60 W × 40 D cm) and 220 V single-phase power must be provided.

How many hours a day should it run?

Operating time is adjusted to the target dissolved oxygen.

The required run time depends on tank capacity, irrigation volume per cycle and irrigation interval; we advise on operating time for your site conditions at the quotation stage.

Do I need to change my existing nutrient supply or irrigation equipment?

It can be applied while keeping the existing irrigation pump and nutrient supply equipment.

The oxygen dissolver is installed inside the storage tank and circulates independently of the existing irrigation lines. Before installation, water depth of 60 cm or more, an opening of 40 cm diameter or more and power supply conditions are checked.

Which crops can it be used for?

Tests and trials have been carried out on peppers, fruit vegetables, strawberries, roses and other crops.

Results vary with crop and growing conditions; test conditions and results by crop are available in the case studies.

How do I check the price?

We review storage tank capacity, irrigation conditions and oxygen demand to propose a model and quote.

A suitable model is selected based on crop, storage tank capacity, irrigation volume per cycle and irrigation interval.

How are installation and after-sales service handled?

Delivery and installation usually take 2–3 weeks after order confirmation, and the warranty period is 1 year.

Failures caused by user error are repaired at cost; service requests are accepted via the inquiry form or by phone.

We propose an oxygen dissolution system suited to your irrigation conditions. A suitable model is selected based on crop, storage tank capacity, irrigation volume per cycle and irrigation interval.
